Artist’s Statement
Although my paintings tend towards realism, my recent work has incorporated mixed media, allowing for a rich and textured visual language. In this series of mixed media monoprints, I try to understand what is foreign to my own life experience. This series of works represents dashed dreams as well as faint hopes for the future.

Paris-born Lilianne Milgrom (www.liliannemilgrom.com) is an internationally acclaimed artist and author. She grew up in Australia and currently resides in the greater Washington, DC, area. Her works can be found in private and institutional collections in the United States, Australia, Israel, France, Switzerland, England, and India. Her studio practice incorporates painting, ceramics and mixed media. Lilianne has received numerous artist residencies and awards. She strives to imbue her work both conceptual and aesthetics elements. Her recently released award-winning novel ‘L’Origine’ traces the extraordinary odyssey of one of the world’s most iconic masterpieces.
